SBV Services is offering a 12-month contract internship programme as a Cash Processor, part of the YES4Youth initiative. This programme is designed to equip young South Africans with valuable skills and work experience, significantly enhancing their employability prospects. As a Cash Processor, you will play a crucial role in the secure and efficient handling of cash, contributing to the operational success of SBV Services, a leader in cash management solutions.

You will be involved in various stages of cash processing, from receiving and preparing deposits to sorting notes, reconciliation, and managing coin transactions. Key Responsibilities
Receive cash deposits and update relevant systems accurately.
Prepare cash for processing, ensuring workstations are ready for efficient note counting.
Sort all prepped deposits and notes within stipulated cut-off times.
Handle rejected notes, ensuring they are sent for verification and balancing.
Perform reconciliation of all processed cash, including deposits and rejected notes.
Manually check rejected notes for counterfeits, dye-stained, and mutilated currency.
Conduct cash transfers to vaults and perform end-of-day balancing and reconciliation.
Process bulk coin deposits and sort teller coin transfers according to SBV policies.
Validate all transactions linked to bank system integrations, adhering to SLAs.
Escalate system downtime or delayed batches to the Team Controller promptly.
Process payroll and change transactions within bank SLA timeframes.
Report all discrepancies and anomalies to the Team Controller immediately.
Assist with the accurate packing and unpacking of Bank and ATM Cash.
Manage consumables and ensure proper recording of bag and seal numbers.
Utilise all equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring care for company assets.
Comply with all company policies and procedures to mitigate risks to the company and customers.

Requirements
Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy
Advantageous: 6 months previous cashier/teller experience
