Job Description
ABSA is offering a comprehensive 10-month leadership development journey for ambitious graduates in 2027. This programme is designed to foster personal leadership, enhance personal branding, introduce design thinking methodologies, and build digital agility, innovation, and disruption capabilities. Participants will also focus on team effectiveness and strategic, analytical problem-solving skills. The opportunity includes exposure to one of Absa’s Africa regional offices and engagement in Absa Force For Good (CSI) initiatives. Throughout the programme, graduates will receive first-hand coaching from line leaders, business mentors, and peer coaching from cohort members and GenA Alumni to guide their career progression. Additionally, business and behavioural coaching will be provided by a well-established corporate educator. A key component of the programme involves participation in Action Learning Projects that address real business opportunities and challenges within Absa.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in a 10-month leadership development journey.

Requirements
A post-graduate degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Risk Management, Data Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Accounting, or related fields for the Absa Risk Graduate Programme.
An Honours Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science with AI, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, Operational Research, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or Cybersecurity/Information Security for the Absa Technology Graduate Accelerator Programme.
An Honours Degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Aeronautical Engineering, Business and Management Studies, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Law, Manufacturing Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Statistics, or Mechatronic Engineering for the GenA Investment Banking - Graduate Programme.
An Honours Degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Aeronautical Engineering, Business and Management Studies, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Finance, General Management, Geography and Environmental Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Physics, Statistics, or Quantity Surveying for the GenA Global Markets - Graduate Programme.
A Degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science for the GenA Actuarial Analyst - Graduate Programme.
Completion of M1 (Coursework) in Industrial Psychology by December 2026 and an Honours degree in Industrial Psychology with a strong academic average for the Internship Industrial and Organisational Psychology.
