Purpose of Job
The core purpose of this position is to test or modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry within business/operational cluster plants or laboratories. This is essential to maintain these critical assets in the best possible condition, ensuring uninterrupted and efficient operations.Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that work standards are met according to quality, quantity, and due dates.
- Support and live company values and goals.
- Achieve delivery targets for e.g., tons, products, services, specific to Business Unit and Discipline.
- Ensure that self and team meet targets, due dates, and quality standards.
- Responsible for adhering to the MOC (Management of Change) procedure for all changes.
- Support the Asset Management philosophy.
- Coordinate the execution of maintenance strategies.
- Ensure work standards meet quality standards and compliance.
- Assist with RBI (Risk-Based Inspection) studies and the Maintenance strategy process to enhance equipment reliability.
- Optimize and control resources effectively.
- Perform all tasks cost-consciously.
- Independently gather information and data accumulation.
- Maintain awareness, focus, and control of cost/budget.
- Achieve safety and risk objectives.
- Apply safety in all practices, specifically project planning and execution.
- Understand the company vision and values.
- Demonstrate desired behaviours in agreement with Sasol Values.
- Improve own skills and knowledge.

Requirements
National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
Demonstrated ability to meet work standards for quality, quantity, and deadlines
