Oceana Group Limited is seeking a dedicated and proactive IT Support Intern to join their dynamic team in Cape Town. Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line support for local and remote users via telephone and email.
Create and manage trouble tickets, ensuring timely resolution or escalation of user requests.
Perform effective end-to-end management and resolution of incidents and problems.
Adhere to defined targets, procedures, standards, and measures for quality and customer satisfaction.
Contribute to the minimisation of preventable incidents.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and support articles.
Engage actively and positively with end users, third-line support, and third parties.
Participate in the planning and execution of IT changes.
Assist with special IT projects as identified.
Coach and train users on the use of IT assets and policies.
Manage licensing and ensure compliance.
Perform asset management tasks.
Handle onboarding and offboarding requests for all company users.
Respond to standby calls and escalations for users after hours.
Provide daily VIP support.
Offer first-line support for printing services.
Conduct daily testing and ad-hoc support for all company VC equipment.
Support and troubleshoot established VOIP infrastructure.
Install and support all end-user applications.
Set up and support all user computers and peripherals.
Provide cell phone support.
Assist in the process of purchasing peripherals from third parties.
Stay updated on new software and support articles.
Facilitate end-user adoption, knowledge, and uptake of IT systems.
Travel to remote sites for support when required.

Requirements
PC Desktop and Laptop Hardware knowledge.
Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 Operating System proficiency.
Microsoft Office Productivity Suites knowledge.
Experience with PC Systems Imaging/Cloning technology.
Hands-on experience with Windows, software, BIOS, and firmware updates or patches.
Knowledge of anti-virus programs.
Knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals (e.g., printers, scanners).
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to identify underlying problems and trends.
Capacity to identify shortcomings in system design, business processes, or end-user training and adoption.
