Key Responsibilities

• Stock Management: Efficiently manage inventory levels for all fruit and vegetable products, ensuring optimal stock rotation and availability.
• Shrinkage Control: Implement strategies and best practices to minimise waste and shrinkage within the fresh produce department.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain stringent quality control standards for all produce, ensuring only the freshest and highest quality items are available to customers.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of fresh produce assistants, providing training and fostering a positive work environment.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure strict adherence to all food safety and hygiene regulations and company standards within the department.
• Commercial Awareness: Drive sales and profitability through effective merchandising, promotional activities, and a deep understanding of market trends.
• Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service, addressing queries and feedback related to fresh produce promptly and professionally.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, including receiving, display, pricing, and storage of fresh produce, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
