Trade Theory Requirements
Diesel Mechanic
Applicants applying for Diesel Mechanic should have trade theory subjects such as:
- Mathematics

Auto Electrician

Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics, not Mathematical Literacy, and Science with a minimum E symbol
- Two N2 trade-related subjects; or Minimum N2 with relevant 4 trade-related subjects
- Minimum Symbol E, 40%, for required subjects (Subjects with F symbols will not be accepted)
- Must be able and prepared to undergo psychometric assessment
- Must be able and willing to work shifts, standby and call-outs when required
- Must be able to cope with pressure
- Must be innovative and a self-starter
- Must be able to identify faults without supervision
- Must be in possession of, or able to obtain, a valid Certificate of Fitness
- Must have a valid K53 driver’s licence
- Must have no criminal record
