As Sustainability Intern, you will work closely with Impact.com's Sustainability Program Manager, supporting the execution and coordination of green goals across the business β including supplier sustainability assessments, carbon footprint reporting, EcoVadis corrective action plans, CDP submission preparation, employee engagement campaigns, and platform sustainability innovation. Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing and coordinating sustainability initiatives including EcoVadis Corrective Action Plans, CDP submission preparation, Supplier LOCT training engagement, and carbon offsetting and emissions reporting
Support internal sustainability awareness campaigns such as Earth Day activations and community beach clean-ups
Help coordinate sustainability data collection and analysis across departments
Conduct competitor benchmarking and research on emerging global sustainability trends
Assist with content development for internal communications, sustainability reports, and presentations
Help update and track sustainability project tickets on Jira
Gain practical exposure to global sustainability reporting frameworks and supply chain sustainability practices
Requirements
Currently studying or recently graduated in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field
Strong personal interest in climate action, ethical business practices, and sustainable development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
Comfortable working with spreadsheets, Google Workspace, and project management tools such as Jira or Trello
Eligible to live and work in South Africa (supporting documentation required)
