Specialist Clerk (Graduate Trainee) - City of Cape Town
Job Description
The City of Cape Town is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Specialist Clerk (Graduate Trainee) within the Corporate Services Directorate. This is a 3-year fixed-term contract ideal for an administrator with experience in Education, Training, and Development (ETD).
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring ETD programmes, managing student records on SAP, and compiling statistics for the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and BBBEE reports. You will also liaise with external beneficiaries regarding internships, learnerships, and bursaries.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
ETD Administration: Monitor, receive, and check applications and correspondence for Education, Training & Development programmes.
SAP Management: Update and record ETD transactions and maintain student records on the SAP system.
Reporting: Compile and reconcile statistics for the Workplace Skills Plan and BBBEE reports.
Student Support: Maintain student files, ensuring data integrity and managing payments/debtors.
Correspondence: Draft reports and letters regarding external opportunities (In-service training, Graduate Interns, Learnerships, and Bursaries).
Beneficiary Management: Provide updates to beneficiaries of MMC (Municipal Minimum Competency) and FMP programmes.
Requirements
To qualify for this City of Cape Town vacancy, you must meet the following criteria:
Education: Must have a valid Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate.
Experience: Must have 2 to 5 years of relevant working experience (preferably in Admin/HR/Training).
Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and SAP is essential.
Licence: A valid Driver’s Licence will be an added advantage.
