Alpla Packaging Pty Ltd is offering an exciting 12-month programme for a Skills Development Facilitator and Administrator at its Lanseria Plant. This role is crucial in supporting the organisation's commitment to skills development, aligning with both internal requirements and national objectives. As a key member of the HR and Learning & Development team, you will play a vital role in the administrative processes related to apprenticeships, learnerships, and technical training programmes. The programme provides comprehensive exposure to the intricacies of skills development, including SETA reporting, B-BBEE compliance, and learner management. You will gain hands-on experience in maintaining critical records, coordinating training logistics, and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies like Merseta. This role is not just about administration; it's about contributing to the empowerment of South African youth and the enhancement of the national skills base. You will develop a deep understanding of the legislative framework governing skills development and become proficient in managing complex training data, making you an invaluable asset in any organisation focused on human capital development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with administrative processes related to apprenticeships, learnerships, and technical training programmes.
- Support trainers with training schedules, attendance registers, assessments, and learner documentation.
- Maintain and update learner records, filing systems, and training databases.
- Assist with onboarding and coordination of apprentices and learners.
- Ensure training documentation is accurately captured and stored.
- Support preparation of training reports and learner progress tracking.
- Assist with Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) administration.
- Support updating and maintenance of Merseta and SETA databases.
- Prepare and organise supporting documents for audits and verifications.
- Assist with capturing training data and maintaining compliance records.
- Support B-BBEE skills development administration and evidence collection.
- Coordinate training logistics, meeting arrangements, and communication with stakeholders.
- Assist with compiling spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain good housekeeping and filing practices within the department.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR and Learning & Development team.
- Comply with all Hygiene requirements in the plant (S6.3).
- Report all identified non-conformities and support corrective actions (S6.2).
- Ensure HSE compliance in own area of responsibility (S10).
- Report any incident or unsafe conditions seen in the plant/work area (S10).

Requirements
- South-African unemployed youth
- Aged between 18 and 34
- Must be medically fit
- Must not have taken part on the YES Programme before
- Applicants must reside in Cosmo City, Diepsloot, Randburg, Roodepoort, Krugersdorp and surrounding areas.
- Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
- National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Human Resource Development, Business Administration, or related qualification.
- SDF (Skills Development Facilitator) Certification.
- Basic understanding of Merseta systems and SETA reporting processes will be advantageous.
- Computer literacy in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong interest in Learning & Development, Training Administration, and Skills Development.
- Good administrative skills with special attention to detail.
- The applicant must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
