Sales Internship – Lesaka Technologies (Polokwane)

Lesaka Technologies, a leading fintech company listed on the JSE and NASDAQ, is seeking a bold and energetic Sales Intern for its Merchant Division in Polokwane.

This is not a desk-bound administrative role. This is a field-based internship designed for "hunters"—ambitious graduates who want to build real commercial muscle by engaging directly with business owners. You will work alongside high-performing sales professionals to drive financial inclusion by digitizing the informal and township economies through innovative payment solutions.

What You Will Do

• Field Sales: Support Account Sales Executives in driving new business growth within allocated territories.

• Merchant Engagement: Directly promote prepaid products, digital payment solutions, and value-added services to business owners.

• Client Onboarding: Assist with the practical steps of bringing new merchants onto the Lesaka platform.

• Target Management: Learn to manage sales pipelines, track performance metrics, and exceed monthly targets.

• Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong long-term relationships with merchants to ensure retention.

To qualify for this 12-month programme, you must meet the following:

• Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.

• Age: Between 18 and 29 years old.

• Status: Currently unemployed.

• Education: * Minimum: Matric (Grade 12) certificate.

  • Advantageous: A Diploma or Degree in Sales, Business Management, BCom, or a related field.

• Personal Attributes:

  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Energetic, self-driven, and target-focused.

  • Professional presentation and conduct.

  • Willingness to travel (Valid driver’s license and own vehicle are highly advantageous).
