Job Description
BUCO is offering an exciting learnership opportunity in Kempton Park for individuals seeking to gain practical experience in retail operations. This learnership is designed to provide comprehensive training and development, aligning with W&RSETA requirements. Successful candidates will be exposed to various aspects of retail, from customer service and merchandising to stock management and store maintenance. This program is ideal for those who have completed their Grade 12 and are eager to kick-start their career in the retail sector. The learnership will run for a duration of 9 to 12 months, offering a structured learning environment with both theoretical and practical components.
Key Responsibilities
Attend all theoretical training sessions facilitated by the training provider.
Complete assessments, assignments, and Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) in line with W&RSETA requirements.
Perform workplace duties related to retail operations, including assisting customers and delivering basic customer service.
Engage in merchandising and replenishing stock.
Support point-of-sale (POS) operations where applicable.
Maintain store cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
Comply with health and safety requirements in the workplace.
Maintain accurate logbook entries and track workplace experience.
Demonstrate professional behaviour, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
Engage with supervisors, mentors, and facilitators to support learning progress.

Requirements
Unemployed and eligible for a W&RSETA learnership
Minimum qualification: Grade 12
Basic numeracy and literacy skills
South African citizen (as per funding requirements)
Clear criminal record
Willingness to work retail hours (including weekends/public holidays where applicable)
Must not have completed an unemployed learnership before
