QA Intern (Quality Assurance) - Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE)

HPE is looking for an energetic and self-motivated QA Intern to join their Cape Town team. In this role, you will work with the engineering team to ensure the quality of software agents that run on Windows and macOS devices. This is a highly technical internship where you will gain exposure to Test Automation, Networking, and modern programming languages like Rust and Python.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Automation: Assist in building and maintaining automated test suites using Python and Selenium.

• Networking: Test software interaction with Wi-Fi technologies and network protocols.

• Collaboration: Work with product and engineering teams to identify bugs and improve product quality.

• Documentation: Write and interpret technical documentation for testing procedures.

• Hardware: potentially work with Linux or Raspberry Pi devices for testing environments.

Salary: Market Related (Estimate: R15,000 – R20,000 p/m for Technical Interns) Job Type: Internship (Full-Time) Location: Cape Town, Western Cape (On-site)

Requirements:

• Education: Completed Degree or Certificate in:

  • Computer Science

  • Software Engineering

  • Computer Systems & Networks

  • Artificial Intelligence

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python programming is essential.

  • Basic knowledge of Networking concepts (OSI Model, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi).

  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.

  • Advantageous: Experience with Rust (the core software is built in Rust).

  • Advantageous: Experience with tools like wpa_supplicant, Terraform, or Git.

• Attributes: Strong written communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
