About the Job
Funda Wande is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Media Assistant Intern to join their dynamic team in Cape Town. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in media post-production, content administration, and camera and sound operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the effective management of media content, ensuring it aligns with the educational objectives of various projects. This role is ideal for individuals looking to kickstart their career in the media and production industry, providing exposure to a wide range of tasks from video editing to content uploading and platform management.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the post-production process, including footage management, video editing, applying transitions and effects, and audio editing.
Perform colour correction to enhance visual quality and ensure consistency.
Maintain an organized file structure for efficient collaboration and retrieval of project versions.
Manage media and content administration tasks, including stationery purchasing, freelancer coordination, and preparing content for online platforms.
Handle subtitle management, content conversion, and preparation for uploading to various platforms.
Assist with updating and maintaining project tracking in Monday.com and provide photo search support.
Generate QR codes and ensure timely delivery of still images upon request.
Upload final videos to YouTube, ensuring correct format processing.
Operate camera equipment on location, ensuring smooth shoot operations and adapting to diverse environments.
Monitor and manage sound equipment during filming to ensure high-quality audio capture.
Perform on-site data backup and ensure secure storage of all content.

Requirements
Alignment with Funda Wande’s Vision, Mission & Values.
Minimum qualification of matric or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field.
Must be a South African citizen.
Between 18 and 34 years of age.
Have never held a full-time position before and preferably have not participated on a learnership or internship before.
Live within 50 kms from Funda Wande offices/site at Black River Park, 2 Fir Street, Observatory.
Not currently in full-time studies and able to attend this internship full-time.
Willingness to be subjected to a credit and criminal check or any industry-specific checks required for the job role.
