Lesaka Technologies Internship Programme 2026 (Merchant Division)

Lesaka Technologies (formerly Net1), a leading fintech company listed on the JSE and NASDAQ, is inviting passionate graduates to join its 2026 Internship Programme. Lesaka is a driver of financial inclusion across Southern Africa, serving over 1.7 million consumers and 90,000 merchants.

This 12-month paid internship is designed to give you a front-row seat to the digitization of commerce in informal and township economies. You will work within the Merchant Division, gaining hands-on experience in one of the most dynamic sectors of the South African economy.

Available Fields of Study

Lesaka is seeking graduates with a minimum of a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:

• Information Technology (Technical)

• Business Administration / Management

• Fraud & Risk Management

• Accounting / Finance (Candidates with modules in Credit, Mathematics, or Reconciliations will have an advantage).

To be eligible for the 2026 intake, you must meet the following criteria:

• Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.

• Age: Between 18 and 29 years old.

• Education: Recent graduate with a National Diploma or Degree in the fields mentioned above.

• Status: Currently unemployed and not enrolled in full-time studies for the duration of the programme.

• Attributes: Proactive, adaptable, strong communication skills, and a desire to contribute to financial inclusion.
