Key Responsibilities
- Advanced and Predictive Analytics: Build machine learning models and run advanced and predictive analyses, performing model assessments, validation, and enhancement activities using predictive analytics' software tools and functionalities.
- Data Exploration: Work independently to collate and analyse data using predetermined tools, methods, and formats to create standard insights. Perform data manipulation and descriptive / exploratory data analysis.
- Data and Analytics Strategy: Make recommendations to improve data and analytics models and data science artifacts, contributing to the continuous improvement and refinement of data and analytics strategy.
- Performance Improvement through Business Intelligence: Support building of models that use machine learning algorithms by applying standard statistical analysis or data preparation methods.
- Data Architecture: Consult and educate stakeholders on methods for streamlining and standardizing data recording to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods and formats. Involves working independently. Extract data from various internal and external data sources.
- Business Requirements Identification: Support collection of business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, and workflow analysis, to express requirements clearly and succinctly.
- Insights and Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports. Build dashboards and reports to help answer business needs. Generate business insights via data analysis.
- Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Requirements
- NQF Level 7 - Degree, Advanced Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Action Planning and Business Requirements Analysis.
- Strong Computer Literacy and Data Compilation skills.
- Experience with Data Controls, Data Management, and Executing Plans.
- Understanding of IT Architecture and IT Network Security.
- Knowledge of Policies & Procedures relevant to data science.
