Key Responsibilities
- Translate identified controls into suitable testing plans and audit programmes.
- Execute agreed testing plans and audit programmes effectively.
- Obtain sufficient and appropriate audit evidence to evaluate the effectiveness of controls.
- Conclude on the effectiveness of controls and escalate issues identified during testing to relevant management and the Head of Internal Audit.
- Apply existing knowledge to unfamiliar situations to identify risk exposures, applicable controls, and appropriate testing programmes.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret documents and information to provide reasonable assurance that engagement objectives have been met.
- Prepare proper working papers, documenting information obtained, analyses made, and support for conclusions.
- Raise audit queries for discussion with relevant management personnel.
- Maintain high standards of verbal and non-verbal communication.
- Utilise data analytics to support fieldwork and testing.
- Prioritise and interpret issues for reporting purposes, preparing quality reports that accurately represent findings.
- Timely clear review notes from the Head of Internal Audit.
- Resolve issues arising at the reporting stage, including disagreements on validity, prioritisation, and action plans.
- Conclude on the effectiveness of the control environment.
- Maintain Teammate files and ensure adherence to confidentiality policies for all records and documents.

Requirements
- At least a 3-year degree qualification in Accounting (Non-negotiable).
- Bachelor of Commerce degree.
- 1 to 2 years of internal audit experience.
- CIA qualification or a post-graduate qualification is desirable.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong communication skills to interact with senior management and operational staff.
- Proven ability to complete work within agreed timeframes.
- Proactive in recognising and raising concerns regarding delays in delivery with management.
