Job Description
The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) is a public entity responsible for the regulation of the electronic communications, broadcasting, and postal industries in South Africa, as mandated by the ICASA Act, No 13 of 2000, and Electronic Communications Act, No 36 of 2005.
ICASA's Graduate Development Programme is a 24-month intensive development programme commencing in 2026. This programme provides an opportunity for qualified graduates to gain valuable practical working experience and theoretical training while earning a salary, enabling them to build the foundation for a successful career in the Information and Communications Technology Industry
The ICASA Graduate Development Programme is aimed at developing young professionals by combining practical work experience with formal training. Graduates will be supported by experienced mentors and will receive ongoing performance reviews and career guidance throughout the programme.
This is a structured, salaried development opportunity spanning twenty-four months, designed to equip young professionals with the practical experience and theoretical grounding needed to build meaningful careers in the ICT industry and the broader regulatory environment.
For the 2026/27 intake, ICASA is offering placements across 9 specialised graduate development streams — all based in Centurion, Gauteng.

Requirements
South African citizen
Must have completed a three or four-year degree in a qualifying field from a recognised institution of higher learning
Currently unemployed
Must not have previously participated in a similar internship or graduate programme
Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA and accompanied by Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) certification
