Epsidon Management & Marketing Consultancy is offering a hands-on 12-month Human Resources Internship that gives you real-world exposure to the full HR function β from onboarding and employee records to training compliance and employee engagement.
This Cape Town-based HR internship is ideal for candidates who are organised, detail-oriented, and ready to learn in a fast-paced management consulting environment. You will support a dynamic HR team across key areas including HR administration, scheduling, BEE training reporting, and company-wide engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Offboarding
Process and manage all onboarding documentation for new employees
Communicate new hire information to relevant internal stakeholders
Collect, verify, and submit exit documentation for departing employees
HR Administration
Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee files and records
Prepare HR-related documents and correspondence
Verify and update employee data in the HR Sage system
Scheduling & Coordination
Schedule interviews, onboarding sessions, and probation review meetings
Track and send reminders for key HR deadlines and learning map submissions
Manage and monitor new employee start date processes
Training & Compliance
Capture and maintain monthly training records and registers
Assist with BEE submissions and training compliance reporting
Organisational Administration
Update company organograms monthly to reflect staffing changes
Employee Engagement & HR Projects
Assist in planning company events and employee recognition programmes
Support the coordination of orientations, workshops, and training sessions
Contribute to HR process improvement and policy development projects

Working hours: 08:00 β 17:00
Semi-formal dress code

Requirements
Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
Final-year HR students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
0β1 year of administrative or HR-related experience
Internship, vacation work, or practical HR training experience is advantageous
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organisational and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transport to and from the office (Cape Town)
