Inhouse Design Studio (Pty) Ltd, an international, award-winning interior and architectural design studio based in Cape Town, is looking for a motivated Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their talented team on a full-time, in-office basis.

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will sit at the intersection of design and construction finance β working closely with the studio's design and construction teams to ensure that every project is delivered on budget, on time, and to the highest standard. You will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, compiling Bills of Quantities, managing project budgets, and conducting financial reporting β playing a critical role in the successful delivery of Inhouse's prestigious and transformative projects.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for interior and architectural projects
Compile and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for multiple concurrent projects
Conduct cost planning, cost control, and cost reporting throughout all project phases
Monitor project expenditure and ensure financial performance aligns with client expectations
Assist with procurement processes β obtaining quotes, evaluating tenders, and managing supplier relationships
Collaborate closely with designers, architects, and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery
Prepare and present financial progress reports to project stakeholders
Flag budget variances and provide recommendations for cost optimisati

Requirements
Relevant Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field (BSc QS, BTech QS, or equivalent)
Proficiency in cost control, cost management, and BOQ preparation
Strong cost planning and cost reporting skills to support project financial oversight
Strong analytical and numerical ability with a high level of attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills β able to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams
Knowledge of construction and design industry practices and standards
Ability to work independently and manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously
