Job Description
The Anglo American Platinum Graduate Internship offers a structured professional development path. Interns are integrated into various corporate and technical departments, where they contribute to real-world projects aimed at re-imagining mining to improve people's lives.
As an intern, you will be assigned a mentor and work alongside industry experts. You will gain experience in project coordination, data analysis, and departmental administration. This program is specifically focused on developing a talent pipeline for the mining sector, providing interns with the foundational skills needed for future specialist or management roles.
Available Streams & Requirements
To be eligible, you must have completed a National Diploma or Degree (NQF 6/7/8) in one of the following fields:
Finance: Accounting, Financial Management, or Economics.
Human Resources: HR Management, Industrial Psychology, or Labour Relations.
Social Sciences: Social Work, Community Development, or Sociology.
Corporate Communications: Public Relations, Journalism, or Marketing.
Information Technology: Computer Science, Business Analysis, or Software Development.
Supply Chain: Logistics or Procurement Management.
Stipend: R12,500 – R16,500 per month (Research Estimate: Based on current Anglo American graduate entry scales for NQF Level 7/8 qualifications).
Requirements
Education: A recently completed qualification from an accredited South African institution.
Citizenship: Must be an unemployed South African citizen.
Age: Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
Experience: Must not have participated in a previous internship programme (first-time work experience).
Attributes: Strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
