Job Description
A leading organization in the engineering sector is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering graduate for a structured 18-month internship at their Boksburg facility. This role is designed to integrate academic knowledge with industrial application in a fast-paced technical environment.
The successful candidate will support senior engineering teams in the design, calculation, and analysis of technical drawings for various projects. Responsibilities include participating in project planning and tracking, conducting technical research, and performing data analysis to support operational efficiency. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and providing technical support under professional supervision, while ensuring all activities adhere strictly to national safety regulations and quality standards. This position offers a direct pathway for a young professional to develop hands-on expertise in systems design and project implementation.
Salary: R10,500 – R14,500 per month (Research Estimate: Based on current industry standards for Mechanical Engineering graduate stipends in Gauteng).
Job Type: 18-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Requirements
Education: A recently completed BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
Certification: Must possess a Certificate or have completed a formal course in Project Planning.
Computer Literacy: Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Driver's License: A valid South African Code B driver’s license is mandatory.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or MATLAB is considered an advantage.
Competencies: High numerical aptitude, strong analytical problem-solving skills, and professional technical reporting abilities.
Location: Willingness to work on-site in Boksburg and travel to project locations as required.
