Finance Internship (Workplace Integrated Learning) – Novus Print
Job Description
Novus Print, a division of the JSE-listed Novus Holdings, is currently seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join their team in Cape Town. This 12-month internship is specifically designed for students who are currently studying towards a financial qualification and require formal Workplace Integrated Learning (WIL) or in-service training to complete their studies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain high-level exposure to the financial operations of one of South Africa’s largest commercial printing and manufacturing groups.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist the Accountants with daily departmental functions, including:
Invoicing & Entries: Processing customer invoicing and managing credit/debit note entries.
Billing Accuracy: Resolving billing errors to ensure accurate costing and verifying charges against valid quotations.
Reporting: Assisting with the preparation of monthly management reports.
Reconciliations: Performing reconciliation of supplier accounts and balance sheet accounts.
Query Resolution: Handling internal and external queries and assisting with ad-hoc financial requests.
Requirements
To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet the following:
Academic Status: Currently a student studying towards a relevant Financial Qualification requiring in-service training (WIL).
Experience: Requires basic practical exposure within a financial or office environment.
Technical Skills: Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel).
Competencies:
Excellent numerical skills and a high flair for attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Effective planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
