Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the management of the energy efficiency project database.
- Assist with cataloguing potential energy efficiency projects and the various stages of development from concept through to feasibility.
- Support data gathering and analysis for priority energy efficiency projects.
- Support the Energy Efficiency and Demand Side Management Programme, including project monitoring.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of briefing reports on energy efficiency.
- Support coordination and logistics for events and workshops.
- Conduct support activities as and when required.

Applicants must have Grade 12.
Applicants must have an N3 Electrical Certificate.
Applicants must be in possession of a valid South African driver’s licence.
Applicants must have at least three months of related experience.
Applicants must be willing to sign an internship or graduate programme agreement or contract.
A Project Management Certificate will be an added advantage.
Applicants must be computer literate, including basic Microsoft Office skills such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Applicants must be able to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision.
Applicants should have knowledge of a range of energy efficiency technologies.
Knowledge of building energy efficiency will be an advantage, including lighting, HVAC, water heating and building management systems.
Applicants should understand energy efficiency in public lighting, including high mast lights, street lights and traffic lights.
Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment plant works and energy efficiency opportunities will be useful.
Understanding of the application of small-scale embedded generation technologies in buildings will also be an advantage.
