Developer Internship Programme 2026 (Cape Town)

Sintrex, a leading provider of end-to-end IT management and consultative IT services, is looking for a driven and passionate Developer Intern to join their dynamic Development team in Bellville, Cape Town.

Core Outputs & Responsibilities

• Successfully complete and pass all assigned tasks and tests as per the Sintrex Internship Programme.

• Seamlessly integrate yourself into the development team and company culture.

• Achieve and deliver all practical tasks and assignments while on-site or during the practical phase of the internship.

• Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and modern development languages.

Location: Bellville, Cape Town (Western Cape)

To qualify for this developer internship, applicants must meet the following technical and behavioural criteria:

Education & Technical Skills:

• A recognised IT Certificate or Diploma in Development.

• Exposure to at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, Java, C#, or JavaScript.

• Database knowledge: SQL (MySQL) or NoSQL (Mongo / Elastic Search).

• Operating Systems: Familiarity with Windows or Linux environments.

Behavioural Competencies:

• High degree of aptitude in the IT environment with a genuine passion for technology.

• Entrepreneurial initiative (Self-starter) and highly deadline-driven.

• Strong analytical skills and extreme attention to detail.

• Ability to work well under pressure in a team-oriented setting.

• Languages: Must be fully proficient in English (Read/Write/Speak) and have a basic understanding of Afrikaans (Understand/Read/Write).
