Developer Intern (12-Month Contract) – Kamo Placements

Kamo Placements, a 100% Female Black-Owned recruitment specialist, is seeking a motivated Developer Intern for a prestigious 12-month programme in Sandton.

This internship is designed to give recent graduates a massive head start in the tech industry. You will be provided with hands-on exposure to real-world software development practices while contributing meaningfully to technology enablement projects across the organisation. By the end of the 12 months, you will have developed a strong technical foundation and professional portfolio.

What You Will Do & Learn

• Software Development: Assist in building and maintaining business applications.

• Modern Tech: Gain exposure to low-code/no-code development platforms.

• UI/UX Design: Participate in creating user-friendly interfaces and improving user journeys.

• Architecture: Support the implementation of UML and basic architectural concepts.

• Innovation: Explore Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies.

• Reporting: Use MS Office and Microsoft 365 tools (Power Apps, Power Automate) for business solutions.

To be eligible for this internship, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A completed BSc or BTech Degree in:

  • Computer Science

  • Information Systems

  • Software Engineering

  • Information Technology (or related fields)

• Technical Skills (Basic Knowledge of):

  • One or more languages: C#, Python, JavaScript, Java, Angular, React, or SQL.

  • Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.

  • Databases: SQL Server, MySQL, or similar.

  • Build Tools: Familiarity with Tomcat or JBoss is an advantage.

• Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a high capacity for learning.
