IIE Rosebank College, part of the ADvTECH Group β Africa's leading private higher education provider β is inviting motivated graduates to apply for a Career Centre Intern position at their Cape Town campus.

Its Career Services Centre plays a central role in bridging the gap between graduation and employment β connecting Rosebank College graduates with entry-level opportunities at leading South African employers.
As a Career Centre Intern, you will work directly alongside the Career Services Manager to assist with graduate placement, employer engagement, event coordination, and work readiness coaching β giving you invaluable front-line exposure to recruitment, talent matching, and the South African higher education employment landscape.
This role is ideal for a Sales, Marketing, or HR graduate who is passionate about helping other young people succeed in their careers β and who wants to develop professional skills inside a structured, well-resourced, and nationally recognised education environment.
Key Responsibilities
Graduate Placement & Employer Engagement
Run targeted email marketing campaigns to prospective employers and graduates
Obtain job descriptions and company specifications for entry-level positions from employers
Match graduate CVs from the Career Centre database to job descriptions and employer requirements
Present shortlisted graduate candidates to prospective employers during sit-down sessions
Confirm that CVs meet employer expectations before submission
Arrange interviews between shortlisted graduates and prospective employers
Follow up with graduates to ensure full preparation for their first day at work
Follow up with graduates and employers after day one, week one, and two to four weeks of employment
Database & Reporting
Update the Career Centre database with graduate placement details β including position title and salary
Capture employer feedback on all presented candidates
Generate statistical data and reports as required for departmental reporting
Write reports on workshops, placements, and graduate success stories for the Communications Department
Event Coordination
Assist the Career Centre manager with planning and implementing events including exhibitions, job shadowing, learnerships, internships, and voluntary work experience programmes
Schedule graduates for Graduate Work Readiness coaching sessions
Arrange all logistics for workshops β booking meeting rooms, sourcing equipment, and arranging catering
Prepare graduates for potential vacancies by assisting with CV processing and coaching
Salary: R7,000 β R9,500 per month (Salary not specified by employer β estimated based on South African education sector internship market rates, 2025/2026)
Requirements
Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
Relevant 3-year Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field
Knowledge and understanding of the South African higher education system and regulatory framework
Strong time management and ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure
High attention to detail and accuracy
Customer service oriented with a genuine desire to help graduates succeed
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Computer literate β proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
