Overview of the Opportunity
AVBOB, in partnership with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA), is currently inviting applications for its 2026 Long-Term Insurance Unemployed Learnership Programme.
This is a structured, 12-month work-based learning initiative that combines theoretical classroom training with practical on-the-job experience. Successful learners will work toward a nationally recognized NQF Level 4 qualification (140 credits) in the insurance sector. This programme is an excellent entry point for youth looking to build a career in financial services and insurance marketing.

According to the official recruitment portal, vacancies exist in the following areas:
Pretoria (Gauteng): PTA East, Central, Centurion, Montana, Rosslyn, and Bela-Bela.
Brits (North West/KZN Region): Support for the local Life Offices.
Malamulele (Limpopo): Regional branch placement.
Nelspruit & White River (Mpumalanga): Northern Region placement.
George & Knysna (Western Cape): Southern Cape branch placement.
What the Programme Offers
Monthly Stipend: A market-related allowance is paid for the duration of the 12-month contract.
Accredited Qualification: Formal training leading to a registered NQF Level 4 Insurance qualification.
Practical Experience: Real-world exposure to insurance products, client administration, and sales.

Requirements
Applicants must strictly meet the following criteria to be considered:
Education: A valid Matric (Grade 12) certificate with passes in English and either Mathematics, Maths Literacy, or Accounting.
Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.
Status: Must be currently unemployed and not registered for any other studies or learnerships.
Citizenship: South African citizens only.
Skills: Strong communication skills, basic computer literacy (MS Office), and the ability to show initiative.
