Job Description
Sea Harvest, a leading global fishing and food company, is offering exciting apprenticeship opportunities for young, unemployed individuals at its Saldanha Bay operations.
This programme is designed to develop highly skilled artisans within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) and fishing industry. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on technical knowledge and practical skills under the guidance of experienced professionals in the Asset Care Department, preparing you for a successful career in engineering.

Fitting
Refrigeration
Electrical
What the Programme Offers
Competency Development: Structured training to move from entry-level to a qualified artisan.
Industry Exposure: Hands-on experience with industrial machinery, refrigeration plants, and electrical systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Mentorship: Learning directly from senior artisans and engineers.
Certification: Progress toward completing your trade test and becoming a certified artisan.
Requirements
To qualify for this apprenticeship, you must meet the following:
Education: Minimum N2 or N3 Certificate in the relevant trade (Fitting, Electrical, or Refrigeration) from a TVET College.
Status: Must be currently unemployed.
Age: Aimed at South African youth (typically 18–35).
Location: Must be able to work in Saldanha, Western Cape.
Attributes: * Strong technical aptitude and a desire to work with your hands.
Committed to completing the duration of the apprenticeship.
Strong safety awareness.
