Who Should Apply
This bursary is specifically targeted at South African citizens or permanent residents who have a clear intention to become a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)). Applicants must be studying or intend to study an SAICA-accredited degree at a SAICA-accredited university. Essential academic requirements include a Grade 12 with matric exemption and university acceptance, with Mathematics and English (not Maths Literacy) as subjects, achieving at least a B symbol. A minimum average of 75% for all Grade 12 subjects is required. Furthermore, applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance at university level, with an overall average of 70% for first and second-year results, and 65% for third and fourth-year undergraduate results. Proficiency in English and strong communication skills are also vital. Students who require a bridging course to qualify for post-graduate studies are not eligible for this bursary.

Requirements
Intention to become a chartered accountant (either studying the appropriate SAICA accredited degree or intending to study the appropriate SAICA-accredited degree at a SAICA-accredited university)
Grade 12 with matric exemption and university acceptance. Mathematics and English as subjects (Maths Literacy doesn’t qualify) with a B symbol. An average of 75% for all your subjects.
First and second year university results—overall average of 70%.
Third year and fourth year undergraduate university results—average of 65%.
Proficiency in English and strong communication skills.
Must be a South African citizen or hold permanent residency.
Not intended for students who need to do a Bridging Course to qualify for the appropriate post-graduate studies.
