Who Should Apply
This bursary is open to South African citizens who are enrolled for full-time studies during the 2027 academic year. It caters to 2026 matriculants, previous matriculants currently in a gap year, and students already pursuing tertiary education at a DHET/CHE-accredited university or a registered private higher education institution. Applicants must be studying towards a Higher Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Honours Degree, or Postgraduate Diploma. Grade 12 applicants require a Bachelor's Pass with a minimum overall average of 65%, while current tertiary students need a minimum academic average of 60% in their most recent completed academic year. TVET college students are not eligible for this programme. Applicants must not be employees or immediate family members of employees of Hollywoodbets or its related entities.

Certified copy of your valid South African identity document.
A 1-2 page statement clearly setting out why you have chosen your field of study, how you intend to use it after graduation. Also, explain any missing documents you couldn’t submit on time.
Applicant Parent or Guardian Identity- Certified Parents/Guardian RSA ID (or non-SA Passport) or Death Certificate (if deceased)
Proof of Household Income: Certified copy of SASSA docs or 3 months Payslips of parents/guardians (Company registration documents if Self Employed) - Please attach police affidavits confirming unemployment, if guardian/s are unemployed
Disclosure of NSFAS History- Do you (or did you) get funded by NSFAS? Please upload all the funding confirmation contracts, letters or offers. [If not, submit police affidavit stating that you have never received NSFAS funding]
Disclosure of Funding Sources- Do you (or did you) get funded by another bursary? Please upload all the funding confirmation contracts, letters or offers. [If not, submit police affidavit stating that you have never received funds from another bursary or funding award]

Requirements
Must be a South African citizen.
Must not be an employee of Hollywoodbets, or an immediate family member/relative of an employee of Hollywoodbets or its related entities, including BetSoftware, Hollywood Foundation, Race Coast and other Hollywood Group companies. Employees and employee relatives are required to complete a separate application form.
Must be enrolled for full-time studies during the 2027 academic year.
Open to 2026 matriculants, previous matriculants on a gap year, and students currently enrolled at a DHET/CHE-accredited university or registered private higher education institution. TVET College students are NOT eligible.
Must be studying towards a Higher Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Honours Degree or Postgraduate Diploma. The bursary DOES NOT sponsor Masters, PhD and other senior qualifications
Grade 12 applicants must have obtained a Bachelor's Pass with a minimum overall average of 65%.
Current tertiary students must have achieved a minimum academic average of 60% in their most recent completed academic year.
