• Applicants must be South African citizens between the ages of 17 and 25 years.
• Candidates must have completed Matric or currently be in Matric.
• Applicants must have achieved more than: 70% for Mathematics, 70% for Physical Science, and 60% for English.
• For learners currently in Matric, Grade 11 results may be used for these subject requirements.
• Mathematical Literacy is not accepted in place of Mathematics.
• Applicants must intend to study full time at a university supported by Sappi for the relevant Engineering studies.
• Preference will be given to applicants from communities surrounding Sappi operations, provided they meet the required academic criteria.
