Who Should Apply

This bursary programme is strictly tailored for Black South African citizens who are 32 years of age or younger and entering their final undergraduate year or currently completing postgraduate qualifications (Honours, Master's, or PhD). Eligible fields include Accounting, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, Mathematical Science, General Sciences, Statistical Science, and Technology.

Additionally, applicants must be registered or accepted at one of the six partner institutions: University of the Witwatersrand (WITS), University of Johannesburg (UJ), University of Pretoria (UP), North-West University (NWU), University of Limpopo (UL), or University of the Western Cape (UWC). Applicants must come from the 'missing middle' or low-income bracket with a gross household income not exceeding R600 000 per annum.
