Requirements
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be studying full-time towards a SAICA-accredited Chartered Accounting qualification.
- Be registered at a SAICA-accredited university.
- Have a strong academic record.
- Be able to complete your qualification within the minimum prescribed period.
- Meet the academic requirements for your current year of study.
- Apply for a KPMG training contract.
- Submit all required supporting documents.
- Achieved strong Matric results, ideally with 'A' symbols (excluding Life Orientation).
- For First-Year students: A minimum overall average of 65% and a minimum mark of 70% for Accounting.
- For Second-Year students: A minimum overall average of 65% and a minimum mark of 65% for Accounting.
- For Third-Year students: A minimum overall average of 60% and a minimum mark of 60% for Accounting.
- For Honours or CTA students: A minimum overall average of 50% and a minimum mark of 55% for Accounting.
- Must remain eligible to progress to the next academic level.
- Ability to complete the degree within the minimum prescribed period by the university; academic delays or extended study periods may affect eligibility.
- For Merit Bursary with Financial Need applicants: Demonstrate financial need, providing complete and accurate financial information including household income, employment status of guardians, number of dependants, university fees, accommodation and living expenses, other bursary or financial support, and family financial obligations.

- Certified copy of South African identity document.
- Certified copy of Matric certificate.
- Certified copy of the most recent academic record or transcript.
- Proof of university registration.
- Updated university fee statement.
- Comprehensive CV.
- Any additional documents requested on the application portal.
- Additional Documents for Financial-Need Applicants:
- Parents’ or guardians’ latest payslips (where employed).
- An affidavit where a parent or guardian is unemployed.
- Proof of pension or social-grant income (where applicable).
- Three recent bank statements for parents or guardians.
