Job Description
Truworths, a leading South African fashion retailer, is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Photographer to join their dynamic Marketing team. This permanent, on-site role based in Cape Town, Western Cape, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's forefront position in the fashion industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing high-quality product imagery that drives sales and maintains the brand's aesthetic, working within a creative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Studio shooting: Photography and image capture of merchandise for e-commerce, including apparel, shoes, bags, and accessories.
Lighting and set prep: Set up of lighting according to shoot angles and product type.
Post-Production: Perform basic retouching, color correction, and background removal using Adobe Creative Suite.
Collaborate closely with the senior photographer, stylist, and retouchers to deliver all online brand imagery that accurately depicts clothing and accessories.
Maintain consistency and color accuracy of images.
Digital Asset Management: Organize, name, and upload files according to the internal server structure.
Equipment Care: Maintain studio cleanliness and ensure cameras, lenses, and lighting kits are handled with care.

Requirements
A degree/diploma in Photography or a related field (or equivalent portfolio experience).
Portfolio showcasing examples of work.
0β2 years of experience in a studio environment.
Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Capture One.
Basic understanding of light manipulation.

Ability to switch between product types seamlessly.
