Graduate Internship Programme 2026/2027
Job Description
The Western Cape Government Graduate Internship Programme 2026/2027 is a structured youth development initiative aimed at unemployed South African graduates who live in the Western Cape. This programme provides interns with hands-on public sector experience across multiple provincial departments. Interns will be exposed to practical tasks that support departmental operations, gain workplace competencies, and develop skills that improve their future employability.
As part of this internship, you will work within one of several key provincial departments — including economic development, social services, environmental planning, infrastructure, and more — while receiving guidance designed to strengthen your professional CV and real-world experience. This opportunity is centred on workplace learning, career awareness, and building practical skills that bridge the gap between academic study and full-time employment.
