The Clicks Group is offering a life-changing opportunity for unemployed young people in the Western Cape through their Youth Employment Programme. This initiative is designed to help youth gain valuable work experience within the health and beauty retail sector—one of the most resilient industries in South Africa.
The programme combines structured classroom learning with practical, hands-on training within a Clicks retail store. Upon successful completion, participants will walk away with a recognized NQF Level 2 Checkout Operator occupational qualification, significantly boosting their future employability.
What the Programme Offers
Work Experience: Gain "real-world" retail experience in a leading national brand.
Qualification: Earn an NQF 2 Checkout Operator certification.
Skill Development: Learn retail operations, customer service, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Stipend: Participants typically receive a monthly stipend for the duration of the contract.
Requirements
To be eligible for the Clicks Youth Employment Programme, you must meet the following criteria:
Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
Age: Between 18 and 29 years old.
Education: Must have a valid Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
Status: Must be currently unemployed.
Exclusion: You must not be currently registered on any other Learnership or Skills Programme.
Skills: Strong communication skills, a team-player attitude, and a genuine willingness to learn.
