Job Description
Syntech is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assemblies Assistant (Packer) to join their team in Cape Town. This entry-level permanent position is crucial for ensuring the final preparation and packaging of completed IT units. The successful candidate will be responsible for meticulously packing products according to company standards, ensuring all items are securely packaged and ready for dispatch within strict timeframes. Key Responsibilities
Packaging & Presentation: Pack completed units following Quality Control approval, ensuring all components are secure and the external presentation is clean and professional.
Labelling & Documentation: Accurately label all packages with relevant sales order details, shipping information, and handling instructions (e.g., fragile).
Logistics Coordination: Transfer Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) and custom builds to the warehouse/dispatch area at scheduled intervals (09:00, 11:00, 13:00, and 15:00).
System Updates: Update order statuses on Monday.com to “Packed” and “Handed Over to Dispatch” to maintain accurate, real-time tracking.
Final Quality Check: Conduct a final visual inspection to ensure there are no visible defects and that all required external accessories (e.g., cables, manuals) are included.
Workstation Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organised packing area, ensuring sufficient stock of packaging materials at all times.
